Our goal is simple: to provide exceptional natural hair care in a professional, peaceful environment where healthy hair, beautiful results, and an elevated client experience are always the priority.

These guidelines help us protect your time, your hair journey, and the quality of service we are able to provide to every guest. We encourage you to review them prior to your appointment.

At Sapphire Loc & Twist Studio, we understand that no two hair journeys are exactly alike. Hair texture, density, condition, lifestyle, previous services, maintenance schedule, and home care can all influence your results.

Our licensed professionals are committed to providing skilled, individualized care and making recommendations based on the condition and needs of your hair. While excellence is always our goal, individual results will naturally vary.

Services are performed at the client's request following consultation and professional recommendations. We encourage you to ask questions and communicate any concerns before and during your service so that you and your stylist have a clear understanding of the desired outcome.

Because individual results cannot be guaranteed, Sapphire Loc & Twist Studio, its management, stylists, and affiliates are not responsible for dissatisfaction or outcomes resulting from factors outside of the service plan discussed with your stylist.

We love documenting healthy loc journeys, transformations, and the beautiful work created within Sapphire Loc & Twist Studio.

Photography and/or video may be captured during your appointment for service documentation, education, portfolio use, and promotional content, including social media.

We also respect your privacy. If you prefer not to have your image or service publicly shared, simply let your stylist know before your service begins.

Sapphire Loc & Twist Studio operates as a cashless studio. Credit cards and approved digital payment methods are accepted.

All Pre-Consultation retainers and required 50% Loc Establishment deposits must be paid electronically through the studio's invoicing system before the applicable reservation is confirmed.

An appointment requiring a retainer or deposit is not considered secured until the required payment has been received.

Saturday appointments are premium, limited-availability reservations.

When an invoice is issued for a Saturday appointment, payment must be received by the deadline stated on the invoice. If payment is not received by that time, the appointment will be released and may be offered to a guest on our Waitlist.

Waitlist appointments require immediate payment to secure the newly available reservation.

Service balances are due upon arrival and are processed by credit card.

A standard $3 card processing fee applies to applicable credit card transactions.

For your convenience, you may also reserve your next appointment during check-in. We strongly encourage forward booking, particularly for recurring maintenance services, to help you maintain your preferred schedule.

Gratuities are always optional and may be given directly to your stylist.

Our studio environment is intentionally designed to feel professional, intimate, and peaceful.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

To preserve the quiet, focused atmosphere of the studio, only the guest actively receiving services may remain in the studio unless an accommodation has been approved in advance.

When you arrive, please remain comfortably in your vehicle until you receive your "Ready to Start" text notification.

This allows your stylist adequate time to complete the previous guest's service, sanitize shared equipment, reset the workspace, and prepare for your appointment without interruption.

Masks are optional.

If you are experiencing active symptoms of illness, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment. Guests who arrive visibly ill may also be asked to reschedule.

This policy helps us protect our clients, stylists, and the overall wellness of our studio community.

Punctuality allows us to provide every guest with the attention and service experience they deserve.

A $20 late fee applies when a guest arrives 16 minutes or more after the scheduled appointment time.

At 30 minutes late, there may no longer be enough time to safely and properly complete the scheduled service. The appointment may therefore need to be rescheduled.

We understand that life happens.

When you need to cancel or reschedule, please make the adjustment through our online scheduling portal at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Appointments missed without notice are subject to a $35 no-show fee, which must be paid before another appointment can be reserved.

Repeated no-call/no-show occurrences may result in the loss of future booking privileges with Sapphire Loc & Twist Studio.

Consistency matters—especially with loc maintenance.

Whenever possible, we recommend reserving your next appointment before leaving the studio so that you can maintain your ideal maintenance schedule and preferred appointment availability.

Healthy locs require consistency.

Your stylist will provide professional recommendations based on your individual loc system, hair growth, density, lifestyle, and current condition.

For Sisterlocks™ and Microlocks, we professionally recommend maintaining a retightening schedule of no more than six weeks whenever possible.

Going beyond the recommended maintenance window may increase new growth, marrying, tangling, slippage, or the amount of time and technical work required during your next appointment.

When a maintenance appointment exceeds the recommended six-week interval, additional time and labor may be required.

Your stylist will complete as much maintenance as reasonably possible within the time reserved. When additional time or technical work is necessary, an Extended Session Fee may apply.

In some cases, an additional appointment may be recommended to properly complete the service without compromising the health of your locs or the quality of our work.

Beginning a new loc journey is an investment, and we reserve significant time specifically for your establishment.

A non-refundable 50% deposit of your customized service quote is required to reserve a Loc Establishment appointment, subject to the limited cancellation provision below.

Your customized quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.

If your establishment is not reserved within that period, a new evaluation may be required so that we can reassess your hair and provide an accurate, current quote.

Consultation fees, booking retainers, and completed studio services are non-refundable.

A written request to cancel a Loc Establishment reservation and request a deposit refund must be received within 12 hours of payment.

Approved refund requests received within that window will be refunded minus a $50 administrative processing fee.

After the 12-hour refund period, the deposit becomes non-refundable. When applicable, the amount may instead be transferred to a Sapphire Salon Credit valid for 60 days, subject to studio approval and the terms of the original reservation. 

For the safety, security, and protection of our guests, team members, and property, Sapphire Loc & Twist Studio utilizes video surveillance within designated areas of the studio. By entering and receiving services within the studio, you acknowledge that you may be recorded while on the premises.

Surveillance footage is maintained for legitimate business, safety, security, incident documentation, and loss-prevention purposes. Security recordings are not intended for promotional or social media use unless separate consent has been obtained where applicable.

Recording devices are not placed in restrooms or other areas where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy.

By entering the studio and proceeding with your scheduled service, you acknowledge and accept the presence and use of studio video surveillance as described above.

These policies are not simply about scheduling. They allow us to protect the quality of our work, respect the time of our clients and professionals, and create the peaceful, elevated experience we want every guest to enjoy.
